Astronomical discoveries captivate the human imagination by connecting to deep and long-standing questions about our origins and the nature of the universe in which we live. Awareness of the vastness of the universe, the extraordinary forms that other worlds can assume, and the place of our home planet in space and time inspires wonder in people of all ages.
The objective of our astronomy education is to use the excitement that astronomy engenders to increase public understanding of science and scientific methods and to make clear that science is a pathway to discovery, not just a collection of facts.
The students are involved in the activities related to the understanding of universe, space science, environment and related technologies like Telescopes, rockets, satellites etc. These activities include sky gazing using naked eye as well as binoculars and telescopes, designing telescopes and weather study/monitoring using low altitude balloon satellites etc.
